This immersive installation weaves together images, news articles, and multimedia from Chatham University’s archives, alongside national stories about feminism and environmental movements. Chatham’s legacy as a former all-women’s college with a robust sustainability program serves as the foundation for exploring this intersection.

The experience reflects on progress as a spiral— celebrating milestones while acknowledging setbacks, particularly the heightened pushback during recent years, such as the divisive rhetoric of Trump’s presidency. Through this storytelling, the installation offers a space for users to confront the ongoing challenges in the fight for equality and environmental justice.

The impact of this project was profound. Conversations with participants revealed a range of emotions—sadness, anger, frustration—evoked by the experience. For some, it reignited their resolve in battles they’ve long fought; for others, it served as an awakening to the urgency of these issues. By channeling what each individual needed to process, this installation became a catalyst for reflection and dialogue.
